Will Fascism Prevail?  Some Final Thoughts

This article is being posted just one day before Election Day.  At this point, there’s really nothing more that needs to be said about the challenges in this 2022 Midterm Election.  If you haven’t voted, you have one more day to vote, and if you’ve already voted then there’s nothing more you can do except to wait for the results.

My question and concern is this... will American Fascism win out?

I’m not a big fan of democrats – and I haven’t been for quite some time – but they seemed to be the only ones trying to get things done.  I say “trying to” because their efforts have been sabotaged way too many times by certain members of their own party.  We’re talking needed infrastructure funding.  Needed support for American-made computer chips.  Helping the invaded state of Ukraine from the Russian thug Vlad Putin.  Helping the Internal Revenue Service hire people to process all of those tax returns and to go after the big-money tax cheats.  These are needed things, and there are a whole lot more that need to be done.  But they can’t do that when they have the thinnest of margins and two of their senators are working for the Party of Fascism.

Meanwhile we have the belligerent Party of the Orange Crime-lord and their endless lies and distortions, blaming President Joe Biden for the things that he had no control over, and threatening impeachments and endless hearings for seemingly no reason whatsoever other than political revenge.  Not only have they been waging an endless campaign of lies and fearmongering, but they’ve been slowly working their fascistic agenda in state and local governments, with designs on making them national should they get control of even one house of Congress.  Over 200 candidates for various state offices including Secretary of State are election-deniers, with some even participating in the attempt to bring in fake electors to try to overturn the results of the 2020 Election.  These are people who should be in prison cells, and instead they may be elected to the various offices that would facilitate and legitimatize the next coup.

The Dems have packaged this election as a “threat to democracy”, but, while they are technically right about that, it’s not really considered something “threatening” to the average taxpayer.  Not like the rising costs of living.  Not like the threat of North Korea or China or Russia.  Not like the threat of foreclosure and eviction thanks to rising interest rates and malicious and predatory mortgage and rent prices.  Hell, the Party of Hate and Division have you afraid of a non-existent masculine thirty-something-looking teen competing against your little girls in sports.  Compared to those threats, a “threat to democracy” does appear to be a bit hysterical.

The Dems and the air-fluffed ego-driven media are gutlessly afraid of calling the threat out for what it really is... fascism.  The same kind of populist fascism that Germany and Italy went through a century ago that drove us to World War II.  The same kind of fascism that threatened Brazil’s government just this past week and is again being embraced in Italy.  No, the Dems and the media cowardly refuse to say the “f-word” because they’re afraid that the Party of “The Florida Guy” will get “offended” and throw temper tantrums and demand apologies.  They might even want to throw a violent coup, and some of their followers might even try to murder a congressional spouse or kidnap a governor.

Oh, wait, they already have done those things.

Let’s get brutally honest here... this election is not about whether Biden and the Dems have done their jobs well.  This election is about whether or not the voters will vote for fascists that erroneously call themselves “Republicans” or “conservatives”.  Even if they fail to win control of either side of Congress, they will still prevail in many state offices, and will certainly set the stage for the 2024 possible coup.

Should they prevail, then the fault will not be theirs.  Rather, it will be on you, the voters who chose fear and fear-mongering and fascism.  Who sided with a party that cultishly follow a twice-impeached self-admitted nationalist, who sides with Russia over our own people, who has blatantly violated the law multiple times while claiming to support “law and order”, and who, under any other circumstance, would be spending the rest of his life in a maximum security prison cell instead of his own cushy estate in Florida.

It's America or American fascism.  We’ll find out in just a few days which one will prevail.
