In A Cult World, All Evil Is Allowed

So for the past few months, the people in Georgia have been besieged with all manner of things concerning former football star Herschel Walker in his quest to be the next U.S. Senator.

He’s supposedly made false claims about himself working with law enforcement, undergoing FBI training, of how many people he employed as a businessman, and of money that he’s donated to charities.  His ex-wife has recounted Walker’s violent past, including pointing a gun at her head and threatening to kill her.  And then there are the number of kids that he’s sired.  Kids that he initially claimed were not his until he owned up to them.

So it should come to nobody’s surprise that there should be at least one more hypocrisy exposed concerning the former gridiron god.  That a supposedly virulent anti-abortion candidate had in the past paid for at least one abortion with yet another women that he was screwing around with.  And this claim came with evidence; a receipt, a signed check, and a “get well” card from Walker.

Now, Walker has strongly denied this latest claim.  However, given the number of false and overexaggerated claims he’s made in the past, he really has no credibility.  Hell, even his own son, who was his number one supporter before this, has publicly condemned him and called him out on his lies and hypocrisies.

During all of this, especially in the last few weeks, the question being brought up by the air-fluffed ego-driven media has been whether or not all of these incidents would “change the needle” and turn Trump-party fascist voters away from Walker.  Whether or not Trump-party fascist enablers and supporters would reject Walker now that these claims have come forward.  Whether or not the Cult of Trump would condemn this seemingly lying hypocrite.

And the answer to that is “Hell no!”

No, the Cult of Trump will not reject Walker.  The enablers and supporters haven’t backed away from him and certainly the followers of the Cult of Trump will not.

Herschel Walker is the “chosen” candidate for the GA senate race by the orange messiah, Narcissist Donald Trump.  His cult supporters and cult followers will follow Trump’s lead no matter where it takes them.  If he tells them to support a candidate, they will do so with the same passion as if it was him running.

After all, these same people have blindly supported their orange messiah from the moment he was the official candidate for President of the United States back in 2016.  They worshiped him despite his lies, despite his hypocrisies, despite all the claims made against him.  They continued to claim he was “God’s chosen” despite all the sins.

So, yeah, if they put up with “God’s chosen”, they’ll pretty much support anyone and anything their messiah tells them to do.  It doesn’t matter if the person is a quack, a fraud, or the Son of Sam, if they have the endorsement of the Marmalade Mussolini then that person has his cult followers and enablers right to the end.

This is a trend you can find in pretty much every religious cult.  Remember Jim Jones?  David Koresh?  How many polygamist leaders have pimped out underage children in the name of their faith?  How many have scammed and fleeced their flock?  But it doesn’t seem to faze the flock in the least.  Their faith validates any evil done in its name.

And, really, that is something that happens in any institution that has a cult-like following.

Look at sports.  The world of sports has a cult-like following, no matter the sport.  Football, baseball, basketball, soccer, they all have their share of cult followers who will venerate and celebrate and worship with every game they play.  But when the players do something wrong or even criminal off the field, those incidents are excused and/or the accusers are crucified.  The star athlete can get drunk at a party, plow into a family of five, assault women, engage in illegal hazing that cost the life of someone else, and the cult of the sport will do everything they can to hush it up, minimize the exposure, and let the star get away with their reckless behavior for the sake of “the game”.

The National Football League just fired one of the doctors for the Miami Dolphins for allowing one of the players to resume playing despite having a possible concussion.  But this only came after the player was hit for a second time not long after his return to the game.  So if that player wasn’t hit that second time, then nobody would have made any issue about it.  And, really, sports concussions is something that only recently became an issue.  Before that, players would be told to shake it off.  After all, winning games is more important than getting a little brain damage, right?

Look at the world of business.  The joint Cults of Capitalism and Wall Street allow all sorts of nefarious activities to go on as long as it makes the almighty profit.  Wells Fargo got caught creating multiple accounts for their clients without their consent or knowledge and nobody batted an eye until it hit the media.  Nobody in the world of business or banking said it was wrong, even after they were caught.  And nobody went to prison over it.  Wall Street brought the whole economy down in 2008 with their lies and games, and, with the exception of Bernie Madoff, not one exec saw the inside of a jail cell.

Of late, there have been an increased number of fraudulent activities concerning the Zelle app, which is a peer-to-peer financial transaction service that comes from the big banks.  You know, the same banks that were responsible for the Great Recession.  But it seems that the banks really have no interest in fixing these problems.  They’d rather keep the money and the transaction fees, because, you know, almighty profit.

Let’s get brutally honest here... any kind of institution or organization with a cult-like environment will allow all sorts of evil to go on by their “stars”.  The followers, sure, they can face criminal charges, but not the leaders and higher-ups.  They’re considered special.  Anything they do is sanctified and needs to be protected.

No, the cult followers of Narcissist Donald Trump – even if they don’t see themselves as such – will not move an inch when it comes to any of his “chosen” candidates, in Georgia or anyplace else.  They could be the worst excuses of human beings in the history of humanity, evil and depraved to the core, and that “base” will still see them as the saintly servants of their messiah, wrongly “persecuted” by what they see are the true enemies of all they believe in.  That’s just how cults of any stripe operate.
