Trump’s Supporters Are The Real Sluts And Whores

There was an old joke that has been attributed to many people that goes something like this:

A man approaches a mature woman who is clearly well-to-do and says “Excuse me, madam.  You don’t know me, but would you be willing to sleep with me for one million dollars?”

Bear in mind that when this joke originated, a million dollars was considered an obscene amount of money, so it wasn’t a surprise when the mature well-to-do woman who clearly did not appear to want for anything said “For a million dollars?  Absolutely!”

The man then asked, “Well, how about if it was for one dollar?”

The woman got indignant and said “Absolutely not!  Do you think I’m a whore?”

To which the gentleman replied “Well you’ve already established that you are.  Now we’re negotiating the price.”

I’ve been known to refer to politicians as both sluts and whores, mostly because of their tendency to accept campaign “contributions” for political “favors”.  But the comparison really demeans the prostitutes, because that transaction is more honest than anything politics can provide.  The person paying in the prostitution transaction is the one that is getting pleasure, as opposed to politics, where other people just end up getting screwed in the deal.

Paradoxically, we expect our politicians to only screw in the “political” sense, or, at the very least, with their married spouse.  It doesn’t matter the party or political leaning; we expect all our elected and appointed sluts and whores to be faithful.

So when they happen to stray... from their spouses, that is... we get indignant about the person they’re supposedly straying with.  In other words, we blame the other party for the adultery.

Remember Bill Clinton?  Unless you hated Big Bubba Bill, you didn’t want to accept the fact that he strayed like a hound.  All of these women stepping up saying that they slept with him “had” to be lying about it, right?  James Carville used to talk about dragging a twenty-dollar bill across a trailer park to demean the women who said they had sex with him.

And then, when it did come out Clinton fool around, did we blame Bubba?  Nope!  We blamed the women!  Liberals and conservatives both!  We blamed the women for Bill Clinton’s wandering soul.

Well now it’s the conservatives turn to live in denial.

Our orange-skinned narcissistic President of the United States, Donald Trump, has a problem with women.  He can’t seem to have enough of them.  He even admitted to it in a secret audio where he boasted that women will let him do anything because he’s rich.  I’m not saying anything new or different.  Hell, his own history with marriage is a testament to his lack of fidelity.  Three marriages.  Not exactly a big fan of “forsaking all others” and “’til death do you part”.

But at least when Trump strays, he seemingly does it with style.  He does it with porn stars and Playboy Playmates.  Then again, this is Donald Trump we’re talking about.  Should we expect anything less from the man who literally has a gold toilet to take a dump in?

And yet... funny thing... Trump’s cult supporters still defend him and still want to blame the women!  They blame the women for breaking a non-disclosure agreement that Trump allegedly did not sign about an act that supposedly did not happen.  They live in continual denial against Trump’s own history and believe that all the women are making up claims of Trump fooling around.

One cultist even tried to slut-shame porn star Stormy Daniels.  It didn’t work.  This is a woman that has been in the adult entertainment business on both sides of the camera and has been doing quite well for years.  She’s heard it all before.  She even told CNN “So, they say, 'Hey, you're a whore ...' I'm like, 'That's 'successful whore' to you!'”

More power to you, Stormy Daniels.

But there’s another fundamental reason why slut-shaming women like Stormy Daniels on behalf of your lord and savior Donald Trump is a failure...

And that is because the real sluts and whores are the ones supporting Trump.

Think back to all of the promises Trump made both while running for President of the United States and when he was sworn in.  He made so many promises of things that he would do not only in the first 100 days, but also on day one of his inauguration.  Some of them he did, but not all of them.  The Affordable Care Act is still the law of the land, even though it was neutered.  Tax breaks?  Well if you’re wealthy, you got a tax cut.  But the bulk of the Trump cult-followers – the hard working people and the “poorly-educated” that he supposedly loves – got nothing.  Remember those jobs that Trump claimed he would save?  They’re still going away.

Trump promised “top people” for his cabinet... but he seems to pick the people that would be the least qualified to manage those departments and agencies.  And the turnaround for those that he does pick is simply... the worst.  They go in, they make a mess, they embarrass Trump, they “resign”.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

Government shutdowns were supposedly “bad” when Trump was a candidate.  He said they were the fault and failure of the one in the White House.  But now that he’s the one in the White House, these are supposedly good things and sometimes “needed”.  And they’re supposedly the fault of the political party that has no power in the Congress whatsoever, not the person in the White House.

How’s that wall doing?  You remember... the wall that would dwarf the Great Wall of China that would be impossible to climb over or tunnel under that would be paid for by Mexico.  Well the latest is that he is supposedly going to get our military to pay for it.  We give crappy treatment to our veterans, and Trump is a critic of how the military is spending money for war... and yet somehow he expects that same military to pay for an ego-gratifying wall that was supposed to be paid for by Mexico.

Are you angry about all of this?  You should be... and yet, Trump’s cult supporters aren’t angry at him.  Instead, they’re doubling-down on their love and adoration of him.

Worse yet, Trump’s die-hard supporters, the religious crowd, are exalting him because they believe that Trump... and *only* Trump... can give them what they want; namely a so-called “Christian Nation”.

The same people that claim that “character matters”... the same people that condemned Bill Clinton for his lust, both admitted and denied... eagerly give Donald Trump a “mulligan” for his own actions.  Why?  Because he’s giving them what they want.

So they whore their moral standards for power.

Apparently we’ve found their price.

Let’s get brutally honest here... if you’re a Trump supporter and you still support what he’s been doing even though it’s contradicting what he promised and of what you expected him to do, then you have no business whatsoever sitting in judgement of anyone else.  You back a man who makes promises that he does not keep, who lives a life that he himself condemned in others and whose character is the opposite of what you claim to value.  You have forfeited your piety, whoring it out for political power.  You have exposed your own true character and your own true value and it is lacking.

At least Stormy Daniels is honest about what she’s been doing.  The same cannot be said for those who dismiss her.
